Ages teen and up - a weekly adaptive dance class that combines movement with communication and friendship-building activities to enhance new friendships amongst the participants.
An hour of movement and music for exercise and fun, with occasional performances scheduled to show off our talented dancers’ moves.
THIS IS A DROP OFF EVENT, but you are welcome to stay and watch through the one way glass and chit chat with other parents. This is a warm and very welcoming group, we hope you can join!

Pancakes With Princesses
Invite your family, friends and teachers to join you for the 4th Annual Pancakes with Princesses breakfast. Princesses, princes, super heroes and special guests will join us for a fun morning, good food and great company!
Tickets are $10 for children 3-9, $15 for those 10 or older; 2 and under are free.
Applebee’s staff cooks and plates the breakfast of pancakes, scrambled eggs and sausage. DSC volunteers seat guests and deliver meals, accompanied by coffee, orange juice or water.

DSC Night at the Magical Forest
THURSDAY DECEMBER 11
Join us in supporting Opportunity Village and the great work they do for individuals with Down syndrome! Enjoy a couple hours with our #theluckyfew families, enjoying rides and the beautiful lights and sights of the Magical Forest.
Down Syndrome Connections is offering free admission, up to three tickets per family, to the Magical Forest on Thursday, Dec. 11 at 5:00 pm.
Each family can have up to three tickets for people ages 4 and up (children under 3 are free) - one of the tickets must be for an individual with Down syndrome. We will meet at 5:15 pm in the parking lot between Opportunity Village and the CSN campus to take a group photo. Food and drink and gift purchases are optional, and not included in your ticket.

DS•Connect25 The 4th Annual Las Vegas Down Syndrome Conference “Meeting the Future”
Teens/adults with Down syndrome and their families registering at the 2024 event.
Our 4th Annual Las Vegas Down Syndrome Conference will focus on Meeting the Future, preparing to meet any challenges and help our individuals with Down syndrome and their families. This conference is for parents/caregivers, adult siblings, teens and adults with Down syndrome and also for all professionals who serve people with DS of any age.
Leave with a sense of HOPE, RENEWED PURPOSE, and new tools to use to better the lives of individuals with Down syndrome!
Teen/Adult Programming features dance, arts, cooking, advocacy, friendship and FUN!
General Programming will focus on preparing to meet tomorrow’s challenges, whether your child with Down syndrome is 2 or 32.
Nationally known speakers Hampus Hilerstrom from LuMind, Lina Patel, Cure 4 the Kids docs Mark Nunes, David Stewart and Waseem Alhushki as presenters. Special guest Jennie Dopp from Caring Tide will present 9 steps for future planning tentatively titled, “Their Tomorrow Starts With Our Choices Today”.
Other local presenters round out the informative sessions, and we’re planning for some very special FURRY guests who will be available for pets during breaks :)
