Fox Hill Park Playdate - Celebrate Springtime!

Fox Hill Park has it all - zip line, massive play structures, kickball for the older kids, and lots of space to run around! Ample parking.

Join us for a Spring meetup/playdate. We will have candy eggs to hunt and spend the afternoon hanging out with the lucky few at the park.

Please RSVP so we have enough candy eggs for the kids.

iCan Bike Las Vegas (Spring Break) presented by NV Center for Excellence in Disabilities March 11-15

Learn How To Ride A Bike

Multiple session times available - see registration link for more info.

Requirements for Participation (Rider must meet all of below criteria):
 
·       Minimum age - 8 years old
·       Able to sidestep to both sides
·       Have a disability
·       Able to attend camp all 5 days
·       Able to walk without assistive device
·       Maximum weight 220 lbs.
·       Willing and able to wear a properly fitted bike helmet
·       Minimum inseam of 20” (measure from floor while rider is wearing sneakers)

·       Accompanied by parent/guardian willing and able to intervene or assist staff as requested in addressing  any prolonged disruptive or aggressive behavior

NOTE:  Dropping-off Riders at the program is not permitted.  A parent, legal guardian or other adult authorized to take responsibility for the Rider (e.g. another parent) must remain on site for duration of each day's 75-minute program.

UNLV Basketball Tickets Men’s Basketball vs. Colorado

Down Syndrome Connections is thrilled to have free tickets for Rebels vs. Colorado State for DSCLV Buddy Night Out.

Game starts at 5 pm, arrive at 4 pm to get your tickets!

FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED! Tickets are for an individual or individuals with Down syndrome and a buddy - it's not a drop off event, so plan accordingly. Additional tickets are available for purchase on the UNLV ticket website: we are in section 120, rows K & L, and it should be a great time for the whole family. Feb 24 is "Kids Night" at Thomas and Mack, so little ones are welcomed!

This monthly sign language class is for ALL AGES and abilities, from parents/caregivers to babies and children, to adults with Down syndrome. Super Fest! Learn to Cheer and Play Football

Presented by The Matthew Foundation, Down Syndrome Connections is happy to support this year’s Super Fest, a yearly event held in the Super Bowl Host City. Participants of all ages and abilities can learn to play football from pro players, or learn to cheer from NFL cheerleaders.

Participants will receive a gift bag, t-shirt, and lunch with pom poms and hair bow for cheer participants.

Cost is $40 for one athlete.

$60 for two athletes from the same family.

$75 for three athletes from the same family.
